I didn't know that the JL amp has a converter I have only worked with the kenwood amp converter which has a wired harness right and left. From the picture that was posted you are plugging it into a RCA input port on the amp so the RCA should be reading about 3-5v so where I'm getting to is if you wires into the Bose amp out put wires that is sending a amplified signal to the speakers it would cause the sub amp either spiking or background noise. like i said I'm not to familiar with the JL amp

No worries. No noise, clipping, or spiking whatsoever.

I tried hooking up my amp and sub to the directions given but it's not working. I'm pretty sure I hooked everything up right. I have a Phoenix gold ryval amp. When I plug the RCA's into the amp my rear deck speakers stop working and no sound comes out of the sub. When I unplug the RCA plugs from the amp the rear deck speakers start playing again. The only thing I cam think of is maybe it's cause my amp doesn't have a built in line converter like the jl ones? Do i need to get one? Any suggestions would be great and much appreciated!

hey i figured it out for the non bose equiped g37. your going to need an rca converter, which is key. take apart your media center and climate control, look for the connecter towards the bottom of the cd play with 20 pins. wire 4 and 5 (light green and sky blue) are left rear speaker pos and neg wires in that order, 13 and 14 (some dark blue and pink) are right rear speaker pos and neg. and remote wire, i used a pink wire, i think near the clock connector. pwr and gnd are easy

what you can do with the dual rca is cut one end of the rca wire which will leave you with 4 wires......a Left + and - and a Right + and -

so you can actually take the two negatives and wire them up together and take the two positives and wire them up together, and that'll work out fine cus the other end will already have dual rca

or you can do like the diagram and get a long single rca and cut one end...you will end up with two wires, a + and - but you will need a splitter, which i bought at best buy in teh audio section.
looks like this

does this help Max?

How did u get 4 wires after u splice the dual RCA cable? I did that and only two white wires showed up.

^^ This is a good question that I'd like answered also. I cut my RCA wire to the length that I wanted. I ended up with a shielded wire with only one center wire....Any help would be great!!

In regards to the first post, can you tell me what color each wire is? You mention #8, #9, and #3. I have an '09 sedan with the Bose system if that matters. Thanks!
