So i did this last night WITHOUT touching the strut.
1) Jack up car (always use a stand)
2) Remove wheel
3)Now, i removed the camber arm from the wheel hub, which allowed me to wiggle the stock arm around. This is the part which lets you NOT remove the strut. Looks at where the arms connect, and see if the bolt can come out without touching the spring, if so your good to go, just undo the bolt and push it out.
If it does touch the spring and you cant remove it, place a jack behind the rotor on the arm which connects to the car and slowly jack it up, this will compress the spring and consequently move if out of the way, once its out of the wat remove the bolts and continue with the DIY!
CAUTION: when lowering the jack used to jack up the wheel hub, SLOWLY, VERY SLOWLY, low the jack, i made the mistake of turning it to quick and it slammed my car onto the jack stand.

A big thank you to finagle69. This was a piece of cake thanks to your write up.
A question for anyone who's installed the SPC kit. Did you leave it a 0 degrees caster?

SPC A-Arm install and steering rack problem
I used this DIY and the next day I was turning the wheels to back out of a parking spot. The right side of the steering rack rod that turns the tire broke in half. I am sending it to my mechanic to see what happened but does anyone have any ideas?
