Any update on the handles?

Great post. I've been looking at it the last couple days and really don't have a meaningful comment but I just wanted to say thanks for going to the trouble of taking all the pics and posting everything.

The washi trim, From the volume *****, to the ashtray and to the gear lever.

I'm planning on doing a CF wrap but i wanna get the pieces out safely with no nicks or scratches.

There's a diy on here somewhere. I didn't do a diy because it had already been done. It might be a link to the new york forum and it might be on there, but there are pictures and instructions out there somewhere.

Hey Doug,

How ya been bro? Btw I am still enjoying the start/stop button you worked on for me. I was actually trying to PM you about this but your box is full. Anyway, I was trying to remove my steering wheel to swap out my steering wheel, but I can't seem to loosen the torx screw on both sides of the wheel. This is the T30 torx screw with a stub coming out of it. It seems like I can't penetrate to get the driver in to the screw because of that lil stub in the middle. Does this require a special torx driver that has a hole in the middle to adapt to that lil stub? I am not sure if there is a special driver to loosen this screw. All I know is that it ain't working with my torx screw driver that I have. Just wanted to get your feedback since you have worked on the steering wheel already. Please let me know when you get a chance. I got my new steering wheel and am very anxious to get this thing swapped asap. lol

Thanks in advance.

-Jason

BTW if anyone else any info on this.. please feel free to chime in

if its like any of the other steering wheels i have worked on, it will require the "tamper-proof" torx set. This set has the little indention on the end. i got mine from sears. keep in mind, i havent taken off the G steering wheel yet, this is only based on other cars.
