DIY: G37 all headlight bulb replacement
i was planning to do this tonight and it was a total FAIL.
i tried going thru the wheelwell without taking the wheel off and i couldnt even get the wheelwell loose at all!
i even went about and remove a few 10mm screws under the bumper and still nothing so i gave up and called it a night but i do wanna try this again tomo, i was playing to just do it the hard way and remove the bumper
i was told that if i remove the visible clip in the wheelwell then it would get loose right away, to me thats not true at all, am i missing something?

all you really need is a flathead screwdriver other than that you have everything you need if you decide to take the wheel off the jack and stuff are in your trunk
Just got back from my *attempt*from the top... I too failed miserably. I actually spent most of the time trying to put the air intake box back in place lol.
Will try going going through the wheel cover tmr! Wish me luck.

this may be a stupid question, but can you change the HID bulbs by going through the top? Or is this just idea for the parking/fog lights? I'm really hesitant about taking the wheel off. I'm such a car newbie it's not even funny.....

Theres really no room to go through the top...if you got small hands or a gf with small hands who will help you might be about to do the parking light through the top. The rest you need to go through the wheel well

**** **** **** lmaoo i got one parking light led in on the drivers side.....took a while to find that plastic piece in that tight spot. So i open up the other side, change out the bulb, and just as im putting the bulb in it falls out somewhere inside. I looked everywhere for about an hour i even took the wheel well off completely and loosened the windshield washer fluid. ITS GONE! lol so now another 5 bucks for the bulb + 5 for shipping and handling.......guess ill get a couple more for the interior.

I recieved PIAA fog bulbs this morning. Even though they did say extreme white, they were still yellow. Brighter than the stock ones though. You'll have to upgrade the city/parking light too to get rid of the lame yellowness in the headlight.
I did remove the wheel and folded the wall behind the brake for easier access but I found out it was completely un-necessary.
The fog bulbs could easily be accessed from the engine bay after removing your stock intakes (in my case, I didn't need to remove anything)
Also, the two screws did not need to be removed. Something the OP did not mention was how to get the bulb out once the cover was removed. It wasn't easy, but I learnt the hard way. There's a metal thing hanging out (it's hard to see, but you should feel it). You should push it in and move it out of the groove its sitting in and the bulb should come out easily (Not sure if that made sense). I repeat, DO NOT REMOVE THE TWO SCREWS otherwise you're screwed lol

Just did my turn signal (amber bulbs on top) and parking lights today, for me it was much easier to just turn the wheels to access the turn signal bulbs, then just pop off the intake boxes to get to the parking lights..all in all about 30 mins total.
Just did my HPA 6000K tonight and followed these instructions. Fairy straight forward but just a one thing to note:
-When pulling down the wheelwell liner watch your eyes as dust and dirt might come flying off. Also for those having trouble getting the wheelwell liner off, there is a little guiding tab towards the top of the wheel well that holds it there. Dont be afraid to use some force and pull it down.
The longest part for me was taking the wheels on and off.
