Water spot removal on illuminated kick plates

Hey detailers—any recommendations for getting water spots off the illuminated kick plates? The water spots on that aluminum are really stubborn and that finish is so prone to scratching. Nothing's really working for me.

Not seeing anything in the archives about this so hopefully I'm not duplicating a thread. THANKS.

Ah, interesting, I'll try diluted vinegar, seems harmless - I also have this problem.
