Gilmour Foamaster GQF4 foam gun

Recently I bought the Gilmour Foamaster GQF4 non adjustable foam gun to use on the cars. It works excellent, and doesn't require expensive foaming carwash soap for good results. I've been using mine with the cheap Meguiars pink soap just to see how well it would work. It puts a nice layer of suds on the car, and speeds up the wash process considerably. There have been a couple of occasions that I have used the foam gun, let the suds sit on the car for a couple of minutes, then just rinsed the cars and blown them dry with the MasterBlaster. The cars turned out real nice with no need to touch them with a mitt, which reduces the potential for marking up the paint. This is by no means comparable to a foam cannon that works with a pressure washer, but it does a good job for what it is.

Check out the Junkmans vids on youtube, the dude is a wealth of information. If you follow what he says to do, it will cut down your swirls dramatically. I give the cars a light polish in the spring with meguiars 205, then use Blackfire, followed by Wolfgang Fusion wax. The paint is slick enough that most of the crap that gets on it rinses off.
