I tried the Wolfgang Fuzion wax today, it's expensive but worth every penny. Autogeek has a discount deal on it right now so it was actually kind of affordable. The paint looks incredible with deep clear reflections.Couple pics

 

Fusion is awesome. $50.00 right now which is 25% of its retail price. Worth every penny I agree.

 

i really recommend to claybar the car then wax it. really gives it a shine after removing all the stuck particles.

 

I recommend applying sealant also so that the paint will not just get the shine you want but also protection.

 

Wax does offer protection, so there is no problem with using wax by itself.

The downfall of a wax is its durability. If you choose to only use a wax as a means of protecting your paint, you should reapply it regularly to maintain the protection. Depending on the environment the vehicle lives in, this may need to be done as frequently as once per month. In general, we often use the time frame of every 4-8 weeks for reapplying a wax.

A paint sealant will offer better durability, typically 4-6 months, so it can be applied as a base layer on top of a clean vehicle, and later topped with wax should you desire.

I layered the wax over a sealant, plus the Fuzion wax is a hybrid of carnauba and polymers so it will outlast a carnauba only wax. The first pics I posted were taken after one coat. I gave it a week and layered another coat on top of the first. These were taken after the second coat. The Z got the same treatment, and took 3rd out of 9 cars at the annual Gateway Z Club show. It got alot of love for being an extremely clean daily driver.(Both cars are kept outdoors BTW, the garage is occupied by motorcycles and tools)

You can reach a point of diminishing returns. I just did my car for winter. Wash, clay, AIO, top with Collinite 845 (wax wears like a sealant). I can't imagine it looking much better (i park outside, so, multi stage compounding to get rid of every little imperfection is a sisyphean task) and none of those products are much more than $20 each.
