My word against theirs...

So I just got some aftermarket front camber arms installed on my G, and sure enough as soon as I'm about to get in it I notice this:

I of course flipped out because I look at my door handle every time I get in it for obvious reasons and noticed it before I even touched it. I asked a worker and he said that it looked like "wear".

Plausible.

BUT:

Why are there scratches too?? In the furthest back spot of the damage it appears to have a paint chunk that just sheared off due to it not being a smooth transition from the actual paint to the "spot missing". And right above that in the pic are scratches that are quite obvious. .

I get the boss and he takes a look at it. I get the whole "I watched him pull it in, and get in it when he got done and didnt see him do anything that would cause that."

WTF. I don't know what to even think. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Does this look like typical "wear" to any of you? What could have possibly even happened for this to be like this?

Only thing I can think of is someone had something in their hand when they tried to open the car and smacked the handle by accident. Why would you open the door on a beautiful car, let alone any, with an object in your hand?!?! Thats the only situation I can think that makes sense.

What do you all think?

(Please excuse any errors, on a phone, and pissed!)

I know this doesn't help you now but everytime I take my car into Stillen to be worked on the service manager does a walk around and makes notes of any existing visible damage or dents. This way everyone is on the same page. It sucks for you and hopefully the offender owes up to his mistake.....we all have accidents. A good shop should make things right for you. Good luck

That is clearly NOT normal wear and tear. It almost looks like there were two scuffs and someone tried to "buff" out the one section and took all of the clear coat off. Before I surrender my car for significant service jobs I take a BUNCH of pictures from every angle in order to note the condition before dropping off the car. I also always make a disclaimer that I am **** and I will notice any damage. Seems to work well thus far.

On an unrelated note, you should get some light abrasive polish and work on the inner door handle indent. The woes of having a black car.
