here is a good place to start.

Lots of good products out there but I tend to use a lot of chemical guys stuff.

Certainly a buffer is not mandatory but I have to say that it really speeds up the application of sealants and waxes. I hand apply only what is truly necessary to hand apply. anyway, my fav wax for the money is 50/50 by chemical guys. other than that I love this combo on my car.....

what I have purchased but not used yet is second skin. just have not had time for a full detail to use this....

I'm a big fan of Zaino. Been using it for over 10 years and find it simple and easy once you understand the process. It's a polish/sealant so you get lots of "pop" for your finish.
