Two Stage Polish Results

This is not a G but my wife's JX35. I spent about two full days on this detail and just wanted to share the steps and products I used. I think it came out pretty good, I am happy with the results.

Also, I absolutely hate detailing black cars. My current 2013 G is Graphite Shadow and my previous 2009 was Liquid Platinum - much easier to take care of and keep clean. I knew what I was getting into with the black vehicle, my wife ended up talking me into it.

This was my first time doing a two stage polish.

exterior:
- wash the wheels and paint with paintwork cleansing soap (strips old wax etc)
- claybar
- Clean glass with Glass Science Glass Scrub
- two stage polish: 1) M105 with orange pad 2) M205 with white pad. Was going to do SF4500 with blue pad as my 3d step but was running out of time
- Isopropyl alcohol wipe to remove polish and tape residue
- Seal paint with Optimum Opti-seal (including door jambs)
- Xpel sealant on clear bra
- Wax with Blackfire Midnight Sun carnuba
- apply Chemical Guys Back to Black on wheel wells so it looks nice and clean
- Seal glass with Glass Science Rain Clear
- Seal wheels with Poorboys World Wheel Sealant
- Apply 303 Aerospace Protectant on the tires

Interior
- vacuum
- Clean all interior surfaces with meguiars quik interior detailer
- Seal dash, plastic surfaces with 303 Aerospace Protectant
- Seal carpet with 303 Aerospace Fabric Guard
- Condition leather seats with Poorboy's World Leather Stuff

No, didn't think about taking before pics. But it was not too neglected. Picked it up new at the dealer about 4 weeks ago. They sorta detailed it like they always do, and introduced some marring in the paint.

A little OT, but how do you like the JX? Might be in our future if the wife doesnt want a standard sedan anymore.

I used to have a black Scion tC and I know how black is....BUT to get some amazing pics of it, go take pics of the car under direct sunlight, preferably at noon when the sun hits it from directly above. You'll have some amazing pictures there

We used to have FX35 before this JX35. It is a little boring to drive of course but sooo comfortable! It is great as a second car/family car/people or cargo transport. Compared to FX, it is a downgrade in terms of performance, but an upgrade in terms of luxury and space.

The FX is basically a G with some extra utility.

The JX is a basically a Nissan Pathfinder that wears a really nice expensive tuxedo.

Nice job on the detail, she looks great!
