Restore leather steering wheel & bezel trim?

Hi I bought a 2008 G37S couple weeks ago.

I noticed the leather steering wheel has some noticeable fading towards the top. Sun most of gotten to it and wear. I heard people used Kiwi leather dye and had success. Think it's worth trying?

Also the bezel trim piece. The piece that everyone complains about is little scratched. Do you think some sort of plastic paint like SEM will work?

I don't want to remove the steering wheel/air bag. Little nervous about doing that.

I was thinking about masking the whole Interior off (dash/seats, gauges, etc) and the leather and buttons on the steering wheel.

Think both Ideas are worth trying and smart to make it look like new again. The rest of the car is in perfect condition.

What looks like faded or worn leather on your steering wheel maybe actually be years of build up from oils, dirt and dead skin. My 12 has no issues obviously but I used leather masters kit from detailers domain and it really cleaned up the steering wheel on my beater 04 tiburon (looks brand new) and on my 07 x5 that was slightly worn. Using a brush and elbow grease is the key. Can't help you about the bezel. Good luck and post some before and afters for what ever you come up with.
