Carbon Fiber WTF?! please help!

Okay I have this hood and it looked perfect the day I got it....it's not that old and yet it looks like this.....so I ask...WTF should I do to get the shine back??? I already tried to polish it using a buffer and various waxing/pol[IMG][/IMG]ishing products but it STILL will not bring back the glossy look it SHOULD have....any help please!? I am fed up with this! the hood cost over $800!

looks like the clear coat is fading. you might have to get it recleared.
either that or its hazing and those spots is the result of the polishing getting rid of the haze, but i think its the former.

This will work but be careful if there is little to no clear left. You'll get burn in like if there was a coat of paint there except it'll be carbon fiber.

The reason for the hazing is poor quality clearcoat (and/or resin). The cheap clears have no UV protection, so they'll haze with minimal exposure. Light hazing (like you get with extensive sun exposure to high quality CF parts) can usually be easily buffed out. What you have is at the point of no return. You're going to need to have the finish taken down to the substrate (CF) and then re-cleared.
