you sent me on a pic search, I was hoping I'd have one somewhere, but no luck. It was my old Monte Carlo, and I sold it a couple of years ago. I'll take a stab at the Gs this weekend if the weather is decent and see how those turn out since I've never done hers before. I do remember that it didn't take that long, but IIRC I also washed them with car soap first, then wiped dry, then went to town with the E1 polish

I just went over my exhaust again with mothers metal polish. And it made the exhaust tips have a better shine.

And I talked to a detailer and also polished my intake with the same polish.

Nano take a pic outside in the sun. Looks like you're probably using a phone camera and taking pics in a low light garage that's why the pictures are grainy. The intake looks pretty nice and shiny.

Before. My car was pretty darn dirty after 2 weeks of crappy weather. I only sprayed the tips with the pressure washer at the coin car wash.

After. This was after 1 layer and 1 wipe off. I didn't put much work into it. If I wanted it crazy extra clean I could do it a few more times and put some more elbow work into it but I'm a little lazy sometimes.

I came to this section of the forum to ask this exact question. My car is in great condition but my stock exhaust tips have blackened over the years. It almost looks like they have been gone over in matte black paint. I've tried cleaning them myself a few times when I wash the car but can never get great results. Now, I'm going to get y car fully detailed this weekend and I am sure they are going to polish my exhaust. I would just like to have it cleaned up a bit before then. Can anybody recommended some good products I can get at autozone/advance auto to take care of this?

Thanks!
