Muffler cleaning (Fast Intentions)

So after messy weather here in Amarillo I could not bear and see my mufflers so dark and dirty any longer. Does anyone know of a good product to clean these guys? I scrubbed away with carbo cleaner for a while until I got good results.

Any suggestions that would help clean these easier would be welcomed. Thanks

Wow that looks brand new. How do you guys clean them like that? I used mothers mag and alum polish with a mf towel and got nowhere that clean. Do I have to scrub them for an hour or something?

I think the trick is to do it before it gets filthy nasty. I do mine about once a month and they stay shiny and clean unless it rains.

I've heard great things about this product too. Little pricey IMO but you can use it to restore other things.

Either way you have to scrub good to get the carbon deposit out, what I can't clean up is the section with all the small holes (for fast intentention ones), that's impossible to scrub.

Chemical Guys Metal Shine Polish and Protection - 16 oz - Free Shipping Available | Detailed Image

I've used a lot of different metal polishes including all of the ones listed so far in this thread and many others. I like the CG polish that I linked above better than any of these. Easy on, easy off and it gets off tarnish, stains, water spots, and exhaust soot.

I was going to get something at the local car store but seeing that we are getting a snow storm Monday (FML!) I am going to order some of that chemical guys for next week since I have time to do this the right way. Thanks for everyone's input.
