Thoughts on my detail package..

So after some research online and looking at threads here at MYG I ordered my detailing kit.

So here it is:

Meguir's M205/105 combo

Black wet diamond

Naddy's blue

cyan and tangerine Hydro-tech 5inch pads

White and Orange LC 5inch pads

porter cable xp

Think I'm missing something here maybe a glaze and a pad cleaner? Also was thinking of some type of primer for the pads?

I would skip orange pads and get yellow instead. I didn't like the cutting power of the orange pad. When I used yellow, I got the results I was looking for nicely. I would also get one or two white pads.

IDK if you already have this - But you should get a good degreaser/shampoo/waffle weave towels/clay bar/clay lube and all that other fun stuff if your actually going to detail it. Also you should throw in some thick microfiber towels when you have "excess" polish left on the car to wipe it down with, (I personally like the white re-thickulous towel). Also, if you have a black car, I would get Pete's 53' and skip the Natty's.

Right definitely getting a claybar and lube with all the other goddies MF towels. Is a degreaser shampoo for engine shampoo or like using dial to remove old waxes from the finish? I heard around that the naddy's blue was sweet on dark G's, mine is black. Guess I'll have to order in the Pete's 53 next round.

Oh and I also ordered white and orange 5' LC pads. See my results before I order more.

The order looks great to me. I love the Poorboy's World Natty's Blue Paste Wax, especially on darker colored paints and it's arguably the best value for a wax. The Chemical Guys Pete's '53 Black Pearl Signature Paste Wax is another great choice, you really can't go wrong either way. Johnny has some good suggestions as well. Let me know if there is any specific ares you'd like a recommendation for!
