Just bought a covercraft

Weathershield hp. My first impressions were that it felt windbreaker thin and I paid all this money for this. But I put it on and the fit was awesome. Also, I sprayed it with water and it was beading and fell right off. I was pretty impressed with that. I have no experience with car covers at all and am hoping it lives up to its word of being good for snow. Already looks like it's going to do well when it rains.

According to them and their website it supposed to be soft on the paint. Since I have a white G scratches may not appear like if I had a black car. So I'm not sure if I'm the best one to ask. I use it daily, and so far so good.

at first touch, it does feel like it would be a bit harsh on the paint.

yea it's harsh on the paint. Like draping a dry towel over your car everytime you put it on. Car covers are evil.

As far as car covers leaving scratches on cars, it's how clean the car is rather than the brand or type of car cover that matters.
If you put the best quality cover on a car that has dust, it's gonna scratch the paint during installation & removal and during windy conditions...
