Transporting cross country

Hi Everyone,

I'm getting ready to transport my G sedan cross country. What do I need to do to prep it (if anything)?

Thanks!

contact CATExpress.... they handle a lot of exotic vehicles for shipping -- best bet if you want enclosed shipping method

What do you mean by transport it across country? As in ship it to a new owner? In that case, I'd do nothing. You shouldn't ship it unless they paid for it, in which case it's not your car so... As in shipping it to someone you like and want to get it back in good condition? Try a good coat of wax and blue painter's tape on all front facing surfaces, then whatever shipping method you prefer. Not as good as an enclosed trailer, but not as expensive either.

What is it that you're worried about during shipping? Are you trying to avoid something in particular?

Thanks for the replies. My company is shipping my car from NC to TX and I just wanted to see if I needed to 'prep' the G in any way. Its probably going to be by a standard car carrier (nothing fancy) so I guess a coat of wax and painter's tape should keep the car safe (I hope).
