White LC pad or Tangerine HT LC pad?
White LC pad or Tangerine HT LC pad?
I plan on polishing my car this weekend with Menzerna Super finish... I know that alot of people use it with the White pad but have also read that the Tangerine pad finishes better? I ordered the white pads but now am thinking should I have ordered the Tangerine for this polish?
Thanks
Thanks
I have used the Tangerine pads on other cars not on the G yet, but it seems to work very good. Also I have asked the experts at detailed image and they told me to use the Cyan Hypertech pad with a more aggressive polish then either medium or light polish for the tangerine hypertech pad.
the other process would be using the white pad and orange pad just like i mentioned above I think your good either way
are you using a porter cable or rotary or something else?

use that guide man, White pad is for moderate to light imperfections I think your good I'm going to use the PC with the cyan HT pad and an aggressive polish like M105 then the orange HT with either M205 or Menzerna 106F then probably the black finishing pad with Menzerna 085RD

The orange foam pad is for light cutting power - It works well for applying microfine compounds and smoothing scratches and swirls.
The white foam pad is for applying waxes, polishes and sealants - it has very little cutting power
Why would you use a white pad for wax or sealant? it's always been to my understanding that you're supposed to put on wax by hand and then use the black finishing pad to buff it off or just a mf towel. .

r6rider, you are fine using the white pad with the Menzerna Super Finish polish. If you dont have any corrections and are looking for additional gloss and shine, a black pad would also work.
Im currently using my white and green pads with my Menzerna PO203S as 1-step quick refinishes which only need very minor correction.
As Greg stated, the hydro tech pads were designed to absorb less polish into the pad, and therefore keep more polish on the surface of the pad. This, IMO, is best suited with the Megs 105/205 line of polishes where you need to first "prime" the pad with polish before using it. Using the hydro tech pads with the M105/205 allows you to prime the pad using less polish.
For the hydro tech line: I currently use the Cyan pad with M105. The Tangerine Pad with M205. And the Crimson pad with Blackfire sealant.
For the regular lake country pads, Im using Blue with my Menzerna FMJ sealant, Black with Menzerna PO85RD fine finishing polish, and white / green with Power Finish PO203S.

Thanks for everyones help... I used the white pad with the super finish and the results were amazing... I did not have "major" correction to do but I was able to get the fine swirl marks out with that combo.
