Help with brushed aliminum scuff marks

The brushed aliminum covering the inside handle (driver's door panel) is badly scuffed and dinged.
At first I suspected that I was dinging the handle when I was pulling on the seat belt but quickly realized that I'm scuffing the handle with my watch whenever I reach with my left arm to adjust the seat position buttons or when reaching for something in the door's storage compartment.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to restore the brushed aliminum?
I have zero experience in detailing but am willing to buy basic tools (buffing wheels and so on).
Thanks,
dan

Once it's scratched it'll be hard to revive it. I just did this to my door handle. I think looks pretty cool.

I used 3m di noc vinyl. Look it up! It's pretty easy to do! All you need is a blow dryer and these stuff are flexible when heated up.

Lol! Just wrap your old ones. I'm about to wrap the trim where the seat memory is then I might try to do the center console. That is a difficult one to do cuz of the curves. I'll take some more pics later on. Stay tuned!

Did you use a razor to cut it perfectly like that after putting it on, or did you make a stencil first.

No! The excess material is tucked inside.

How do you remove the handles from the panels? I like your idea a lot better than buffing the aliminum, I won't have to worry about marking the handles with my watch in the future.

Cool, glad I can help.

Look at the bottom side of the handle and you'll see a tiny square hole. Then you stick a small flat head in there and gently pull it backwards. It'll pop off as you go.
