Leather Seat Quality

I took delivery of my G37S in Jan 2008 and presently have 32K miles. I've been religious about treating the leather about 4 times per year with Zaino Z-9 and Z-10.

Over the weekend, much to my dismay, I noticed that the left side of my driver's seat is really showing wear and cracking. At times it appears the leather is starting to split.

Does anyone know if this is covered under the standard Infiniti warranty? If not, are there any other leather treatments I can use to improve its' appearance?

Thanks

they will usually replace it for you, but only treating the leather 4x's/year (once every 3 months) is not even close to enough IMO. I usually do it when I wax the car on the first weekend of every month.

Thats the most common place for wear. You need to be more careful about getting in and out of your car. That will stop it from happening.

Thanks, but for those of us living on the east coast, waxing a car/treating leather once a month in the colder climates may not be feasible and to me appears to be overkill, especially with a product like Zaino that touts durability.

I will pursue with the dealership though and appreciate your comments.

Yeah I'm on the east coast in SC so I run into a lot of weather/bugs and usually 1/month is good for me in terms of upkeep...I usually wash every weekend and wax/treat 1/month and do a full detail every 6 months.

I have the same thing happening with my 08 G37s @35k miles. Car was purchased in Aug 07, and I have been treating it with Lexol PH leather cleaner and conditioner every 3 months. Dealer told me it was wear and tear and told me they can sell me a new seat back cover for $1900.
