clear bra upkeep

How do you keep the clear bra looking...well, un-noticeable. I'm considering having it put on my G (getting the front end repainted) but was wondering how you keep it clear, scratch free, nd transparent. I've heard you can't polish it, so what do you do?? People have said there really isn't anything you do except wash and maybe wax it but thats bull cause i've seen so many clear bras that are all scratchy looking.

Thanks for the advice

Baby oil on a qtip helps keep the edges clean of dirt. I do this about a once a month.

I've used Zaino polish, clear seal and instant detailer for over a year and it still looks new with no dirt or residue along the seam. You can use any non-abrasive sealer or polish.

I got my entire hood done so I don't have to worry about the line. As far as keeping it clean I've washed/waxed. Going on 6 months now and still looking brand new.

You should protect it with wax or something. On a previous car, I had sap on mine that caused stains. Had to replace it.

You dont want to use anything on the bra which contains dyes. Many waxes contain dyes.

K, I'm not sure if this is going to come off sounding insane, but I'm so careful with my car, and so **** about every little scratch on the clear coat, that I'm considering getting the an entire car covered with the clear bra stuff.

It's too late for my G, because I really should've gotten the clear when I bought it, but I didn't, and now I'm paying the price. It's still 99% perfect, but I can't prevent everything, and sometimes a person will walk by my car or something, and their coat will leave tiny marks, that kinda thing.

Anyway, I'm thinking about getting a GTR soon, before the hybrid comes out in 2012/13, and would like to get the entire car clear bra covered. I know this is going to cost me though. Anyone done this, or can tell me how many grand it will be roughly?

Thanks guys.

I don't wax my clear bra, I use Plexus to maintain it. 6 months later it still looks fine - Plexus Plastic Polish, Cleaner & Protectant - 13 oz | Detailed Image. The good thing about Plexus is that it leaves a coat of protection against the elements

Is the white tip on your Plexus bottle starting to turn yellow yet? It contains propane which can cause clear bras to yellow.
