Taking care of sheepskin mitts

So I ruined one (and possibly 2) sheepskin mitts by rinsing them off with hot water. I thought I was being nice to them but after i washed my car it looked like a bunch of sheeps shed their hair on my car.

How do you best take care of these mitts? Wash, rinse in bucket and then just hang them to dry?

where did you get them from? if they are crappy quality then that is why they are coming apart.

I got my 3 mitts from DI (DI Accessories Sheepskin Wash Mitt | Detailed Image) and after washing the car I just rinse it off with the hose then throw it in the washing machine (COLD water and small amount of MILD detergent) then hang it up to dry and store it in an airtight bag.

After use, I shake and compress them under water, then sling most the water out of them and put them on a broom stick to dry. I also rinse them out a lot while in use to keep and possible dirt out out them. Never had them shed.
