Removing factory "guck" from engine compartment?

Hi, my new 6MT has what seems to be a sticky yellow wax applied to the strut area in the engine compartment. I guess it's the factory rust proof?

Anyways, what should I use to remove this?

Thanks

I'm not sure I know exactly what you are referring to but... I've had great success cleaning all types of "gunk" and "grime" from engine bays using Chemical Guys Bare Bones Undercarriage Spray.

I'm not a fan of using a hose underneath the hood of a car due to all the electrical components so I use this stuff as a spray on and wipe off.

Yea, it's not like an old 57 chevy...there's probably more electronics than mechanics!
Thanks, I'll try to find some.
