I have this problem too, and sometimes i feel like the time i took to wash my car is a waste, since the dust builds up right after i took the car for a short drive. And Garnet, you mean there are 2 different kinds of QDs? can i use meg's ultimate quik detailer for removing the dust? or can i only use that for clean surfaces?

I have used a California duster for many years and never have scratched a car with one. When I lived in Kansas, which is a giant dust bowel, I would use the Cal. Duster almost nightly after parking in the garage. That way when I pulled out in the morning the heavy layer of dust wouldn't turn into mud when the humidity was up.
