^ Way ahead of you, that's been my go to product for all of my customer customer details for a long time now. Using it made the Altima in the picture above look like this in the end.

Many thanks to Bill Mays for the recommendation.

I dry my car using the sheeting method, and one small microfiber towel.
After you wash, take the nozzle off your hose and put the pressure a little less than medium so it just comes out at a steady pace without alot of pressure.
Run it over the car so the water sheets and just "rolls" right off. i then go around the car with just one small microfiber and wipe down whatever few drops are left over. Cut my drying time in half.

Sheet method and a clean microfiber is the only method i ever use for drying a vehicle. With good wax on the car i dont even have to wipe, just get the few remaining drops by blotting the towel so i dont have to wipe across the paint.

But to answer your question, if you simply air dry your vehicle after you are done washing it you will see water spots all over your paint. This is caused by mineral deposits being left behind from the drops of water once they evaporate. Not only are water spots very unsightly, they can be a pain to remove if you don't have the right tools.

I threw out the water blade after 1 wash, definitely just let the water slowly run down and MF waffle weave. All MF just went on sale at detailed image btw.

I go through like 2 sets of AA batteries in my Billy Mays polisher to get a shine like yours. Takes 3 days....
