Okay, heres my list of products. What do you think?

Okay. I've read some consumer reports ect and picked a few products ive decided on picking up from my local Canadian Tire. If anyone knows a product they feel is better than what i picked, let me know!

Mequiar's Gold class car wash
Mequiar's Tech wax NXT 2.0
Mequiar's spray quik interior detailer
Mequiar's ultimate quik detailer

x2 sheepskin glove
x8 microfibre cloth

Any suggestions? Im oviously an amateur and am basically asking what you think is best in your opinion, ive looked at the professional detailer site which has been floating around and i can't order anything from there, they dont ship to Canada. So any advice other than go to that site would be super appreciated.

I know i dont have a clay bar down, but i dont feel like i need one if that car is brand new (picking up 26th) or do i? man im a noob.

if all you have access to are meguiar's products, then try to look for meguiar's nxt 2.0 wax (use that instead of meguiar's cleaner wax), and meguiar's ultimate quik detailer spray, or just quik detailer spray if the uqd is not available. no need for the turtle wax polish since the car is brand new. matter of fact i'd recommend you not use that at all, and to just stick with meguiar's products. find their professional line of products if you can, if/when you need a polish. since the car is brand new, you won't need a claybar either. as for the interior carpet cleaner, i'd recommend getting floormats so you won't really need to clean the interior carpetting much at all.

check out Pakshak they ship to canada and are a great source for detailing products

STOP!!!! DONT USE THE ALL WHEEL CLEANER!!!!!! They stain your rims, just use the soap you use to wash your car. Our wheels have a clear coat on them just like our paint jobs. Careful!

I use the Quick Detailer Spray religiously, AWESOME PRODUCT! I only wash my car once a week (depending on weather), and use this product every other day. Sometimes I can go two weeks before I need to wash it again. I went to a G meet recently, and everyone couldnt believe how clean my car was. My paint job still feels soft to the touch because of this product. Highly recommend this product.

where are you buying your products from? if it's a place like kmart or walmart, then they'll very likely have a detail spray for sale.

polishes are only necessary to use on your car when it isn't as shiny/glossy as it used to be. this will normally be due to scratches and swirls in the paint from washing the car. polishes just cut down the scratches and swirls to allow for more reflectivity on the surface. i would guess that any decent polish (given it has abrasives in it) will remove a sealant or wax. but yeah what it comes down to is, your car is brand new, and will have very little to no scratches/swirls on it. so there is no need to polish it. just be diligent about washing the car, and applying wax/sealant every now and then to protect the paint.

i'd also recommend getting a chamois like The Absorber or Aqua Dry to help assist with drying the car after you wash it. you can then get the rest of the water off the car with a mf towel and detail spray.

i appreciate all the feed back, and a extra thanks for the heads up on the hot rim all wheel cleaner, you defiently saved me a big problem. One question though, should i still get the hot shine tire spray? Am i risking damage to the rim with that one too? Does the ultimate quik detailer replace my wax or is it ment to be used inbetween waxes? As a replacement for the hot rim all wheel cleaner coudl i use the hot rims aluminum rim cleaner or is there no point?

NO RIM CLEANER AT ALL! Soft "Car Wash" soap is all you need. Trust me. As far as the Quik Detailer, use in between waxes, but your car is still new, so you wont need to wax for quite awhile. It really depends also on the harsh weather you experience out there. Just take the back of your hand and feel how soft the paint is, its really your call when you want to wax, but if you use the Quik detailer often I really dont see you needing to wax.

Here is a list of products that I bought to give you some idea of the type of supplies that you will need, like towels and applicators: https://www.myg37.com/forums/car-car...ping-list.html
You should be able to find similar products from other brands, including Meguiar's if you can't order from DI.

oh and IMO, tire spray = tacky. I just use soap on mine and they are nice and clean. I used P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner once on my wheels when they were very dirty, applied wheel sealant and just soap after that. But on a new car, you just need to wash it real good, use some detailer/gloss enhancer spray, and apply a couple of coats of sealant. I use Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer all the time and mine still looks like new after 3 months.

alright awesome, thanks for the link, unfortunatly i dont have much of that at my local store. I noticed you have glass cleaner. Is that necessary or did you just feel like trying it? Ill also try without the tire spray and see how it looks. Im a clear noob at this and may look dumb for asking but what exactly would be considered a sealant?

I just wanted to try out a couple of different glass cleaners (PB World Glass Stuff and Invisible Glass). Invisible Glass is available locally in many stores in North America.

This is the sealant I used. I was amazed at how well it works.

Yep. Depending on what you are trying to achieve, you might end up skipping one or more of these steps. E.g. I am yet to polish or wax my car.
