Angry New tint and scratched selector lever

Hey guys, I got my windows tinted today, 20% all around, looks great. The problem is that apparently the tint shop scratched the mental on the selector lever while applying the tint not sure how but I am sure that it wasn’t there when I dropped the car off. I couldn't have done it because I wear no jewelry and I am pretty **** about the car, having less that 800 miles on it so far. I plan on escalating the issue to the tint store owner, what do you think I should ask for? How much is it to replace the selector lever?<o></o>

good luck getting them to admit they scratched gear shifter

..but i would probably ask for a replacement, not much else you can do.

they will probably ask you to bring it in so they can take a look, then tell you they dont work near the gear shifter.

Glad I charged it on a CC, can try to do a chargeback if needed, but I hope the store chooses to resolve the issue peacefully. No one but me drives this car and the issue is very visible. I would not screw anyone over by blaming pre-existing damange (there wasn't any) on the shop and I hope it was just an honest mistake by them. Hopefully they will admit their fault and make it right. I will give them a call in the morning.

Chargeback won't work if you signed a slip... They tinted your car and that's all they are responsible for in this transaction. You can do a chargeback because they scratched something in the process.

Try to peacefully resolve. Approaching it calmly and professionally gets you further than you may think.

Just talk to them and hope they are willing to work with you. Honestly if they are not, there is nothing you can really do about it.

Talked to the store owner and he was very cool about it. Without going into details, he took care of the issue to my satisfaction. Nice to know there are still honest vendors out there.
