Sups guy's! Just got me a set of aftermarket rims! they have a machine finish in the center with a claercoat over them, and it has polished lips. don't think the lips have clearcoat on them. so what can i use to polish and protect the lips of my rims? did a search, but not too much came up. would appreciate any suggestions! thnx
Check out Detailed Image - Free Holiday Shipping on Premium Auto Detailing Supplies. They have lots of good stuff. I'd recomend the P21S metal polishing soap to use whenever you wash the car to keep them nice and polished. Then for if you ever need something a little more the P21S finish restorer works really well on tougher spots. I use both of those on my exhaust and they work amazingly. They were getting really tarnished and stained and the P21S made them look like brand new. As far as protectant goes I'd get the Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant that helps cut down on brake dust and protect from scratches and stuff.

If the wheels are brand new, I'd second going with the Wheel Sealant and maintain your wheels with regular automotive shampoo and water with a dedicated wash mitt for your wheels. As long as you keep up with the maintenance regularly, you won't need to use any harsh cleaners or polishes. When brake dust builds up or you stain your wheels, then you can turn to something more aggressive.
Enjoy your new wheels!
