Wax?

First, I did a search and got mostly hits for removing wax before clear bra install, so don't yell at me :-)

What is a good wax to use on the G's? I have used NuFinish for a long time since it goes on and off very easily. I'm looking for something good and lasting for the winter as we will be driving our G all year long. But don't want it to deteriorate over the winter if we manage to get some washes in on the warmer days.

Have you looked at all in the Detailing subforum?
I guess I'll save you some trouble....wax will only last 2-4 weeks. You want a SEALANT like Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109 or Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket. These will last for MONTHS protecting your finish. You can top it with a quality carnauba wax. Check out Detailed Image - Free Holiday Shipping on Premium Auto Detailing Supplies and just pick something after you read some reviews.

Just like what Knoxville said, it's good to buy a quality sealant as well as a quality wax. Go to Detailed Image and check out their selection. I would recommend Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109 for the sealant, as well as Poorboy's World Natty's Blue Paste (it's made for darker colors) for the wax. Both of these have great protection, and should last you fine for winter. Team these up with some Optimum No Rinse and you should be set.

Yes, use sealant.

Check out Zaino too. Good results.

I use Swissvax Divine... but honestly don't cheap out on a good wax for your G. Try Swissvax Concorso, or Zymol Concours... amazing results, definitely leaps and bounds better than most affordable waxes.

They also will give 8-10 weeks durability

For sealant, do you have to strip any existing wax prior to application?

sealant should be applied to a bare surface, or an acrylic glaze. You then can apply a carnauba wax over a sealant for an added wet look.
