something like that. the installer cleaned the area and removed the wax to ensure a snug fit.

i cleaned my car before the install. they didnt need to clay since my car is new. they did remove some sealant along the creases to improve adhesiveness. i was told i didnt have to clean it prior but i did anyway.

one word of advice: RESEARCH. make sure youre going to a good installer.

I was told to NOT wax beforehand...only wash if I wanted. Even if you wash it, my guy said it was standard for them to wipe down the area with an alcohol solution before they start.

too much cost if it's done by a dealer shop. One infiniti dealer in chicago area charge 969.00 for only certain part of the car. If you want some protection for side of the car and also interior, they charge you around 1600,00.

Talk to Rick at BodySkins.com He is an excellent installer and a great guy to work with. I can personally vouch for his work... and I am an installer myself. His prices are also very reasonable, he is mobile, he uses multiple films, and has access to Profrom and Xpel patterns... which are some of the best in the industry. Tell him Thom from HTP AutoWorks sent you and he will take good care of you.

That is crazy, I had Infiniti of Lisle install my clear bra through a 3rd party when I bought my car and it was only 700 which is pretty much the going rate.

just make sure you don't wax your clear bra w/ certain waxes or it will discolor and turn yellow
