Scratch Help

So today I got a little hair line scratch on my door.. one of the buckles on my laptop bag brushed against the door... Its a really thin scratch but visible cause its whitish and my car is black..and i can feel it when i scratch at it with my nail.. my nail doesnt get caught in it.. i just feel it ..I was wondering what my alternatives were to getting rid of it.. its about an inch long.. are there any products i should try? do the paint scratch pens work? any Idea roughly how much this might cost if i took it to a bodyshop? Any suggestions?

have a detail shop buff it out. from your description, it sounds like a couple of passes with a buffer will remove it completely. do not put any kind of touch up paint on it. if you want to try something yourself first, try meguires scratch x.

clay bars are made to remove imbedded contaminants. they don't do anything for scratches.

Rule of thumb is if you can catch your fingernail on it, you won't be able to remove it. If you can't you should be good.
