what to clean exhaust tips with?

What do you guys use to clean your aftermarket stainless steel tips? I've had the Tanabe exhaust for about 4 months now and for awhile it looked amazing but it is starting to get some carbon deposits or something and the stainless both on the inside and outside is starting to look almost a goldish?!?!? I usually just wipe them down with soap and water when cleaning the car then use a clean rag to polish them dry but now i think i need something more effective. Help please, summer is almost here and I want these things to shine like they were new again.

I have yet to find something this thing won't take off. Salt build up, tarnish, you name it... this'll clean it and polish at the same time. You can find it at pretty much any where, it's cheap, and will last you a very long time. I've had my can for 3+ years now and I use it everytime I wash my car(s).

IvoryG's stuff is also very good... just depending on how much you want to spend

I use Brasso... it works pretty good but I don't know if it should be used for exhaust tips?

I used never dull for years and it works great. For some reason I gave my friend my can, so I ended up trying the ps21 and it worked awesome. It was easier to use then the never dull. But both will do what you need.

Huh, i'll have to try that Never Dull stuff out. I have some similar Mothers mag polish which works O.K. but it still doesnt get rid of the goldish hue that has started to show up more.

Never ever use brasso on it. Brasso leaves heavy swirl marks all over the tips.

Just use this stuff:

It really does work too!
