Optimum No Rinse- Feedback
Optimum No Rinse- Feedback
I just ordered ONR so I could wash my car over the winter and wanted to know if anyone had any tips. I found an old thread about this but I still had questions.
Can I use this if the car is really dirty?
Why do the instruction say to wash with a microfiber towel? Wouldnt a wash mitt reduce the chances of scratching?
After using ONR can I apply wax or quick detailer or does the residue need to be rinsed off?
Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I have it and love the stuff.
I wouldn't use it on an extremely dirty car - like mine is right now. I'd take it to a coin-op place first to knock off the heavy dirt and debris, then bring it home and use the ONR.
what kind of wash mitt? if it's not lambs wool or MF, then it's not better than an MF towel. the main reason they say MF TOWEL is that you can fold the towel over to a clean section and keep "washing" the car. you don't need to rinse it until it's fully soiled.
ONR does leave a protective film, but i've applied sealant directly over it with no problems at all. you do NOT want to rinse anything off as that defeats the purpose of the product.
be sure to do your whole car with ONR including glass, then once the body is done, do your wheels!

Like finagle mentioned above, you have to be careful when using a lambswool mitt and ONR. The reason being is that the lambswool will collect dirt particles and mar the clear when washing normally. It's near impossible to perfectly clean a lambswool mitt, whereas with microfiber it's pretty simple.
Agree with the above. Good for normal use but not on an extremely dirty car or those cars that are unfortunate enough to be near heavy road salts put down for snow.
Use a microfiber mit as well.
