Thanks everyone. I'll give the turtle wax bug and tar remover a shot. I just tried the WD40 with no success.

Well, today I bought the Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover, but unfortunately it had absolutely no effect. I even tried Turtle Wax Polishing Compound with no effect. I'm not sure if the sudden cold weather on the east coast has anything to do with it. Any other suggestions?

You might wanna ask George from Detailed Image. He will know what to do with that.

If the Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover didn't work, that explains why the WD-40 didn't either. Must be some tough tar. Did you try gasoline yet?

Not yet. Won't gasoline damage the paint?

Just don't smoke while you're trying the gas

Maybe it's not Tar?

You're right. It may not be tar. Do I still use gasoline?

Put some gas on a clean white terry cloth and rub very very gently. If nothing comes off onto the cloth stop immediately and rinse with water. It won't take off your paint or clearcoat.

Goo Gone -Great Stuff. You can pick it up at PepBoys, Walmart, or Autozone

*That turtle wax will do a number to your clear coat if not careful.

As weird as it sounds PAM actually removes strong adhesives.

Use some elbow grease while you're at it!
