I bought the 4" backer plate and pads for the PC but did not buy a counter weight. Do you need one?
You'll be fine without a different counter weight on the PC w/ a 4" backing plate. You really only need to swap it out to reduce vibrations a bit on larger backing plates, 6" or bigger. The stock backing plate is sufficient for 5" backing plates and smaller.
