AHHHHHHHHHH! I'm sooooo PO'd

I just have to vent. I took my car in for its first oil change and they washed my car - I didn't know they were going to, but they did, and man did they f' it up!!!! I have just finished polishing the entire car the Mensurna treatment and all and now the car is full, and I mean full of scratches. Its like they took it to the power washed and used and old brush on the entire car.

Of course I complained nicely and they told me they would cover the cost for the rebuffing if I want to take it somewhere, but I don't know where to take it in my town that I can trust. I don't want a rotary buffer to be used like they do at paint shops, so I might just have to do the entire care myself.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! ok I'm done for now.

look up detailing places in your area and read their reviews...

and sorry to hear that, i usually tell my dealership not to wash it when i bring it in, but you have to tell them, they don't ask you

yeah all you can do is find an AWESOME place to detail the outside of your car professionally. Some good abrasive elements along with a PC 7424 should heal most of these wounds if done by a pro. Find a spot that does an awesome job and charges an arm & a leg and have dumbass Infiniti suck up the cost! Good luck.

Ask BJ how much he would charge, do it yourself, and then send the "bill" to the dealership and say, "Oh, I'm a detailer on the side."

When i went to make the deal for my car i thought it was nice that they detail it every time i bring it in to get something done. But the day i picked it up i was not happy the way the paint looked. The salesman said something like "well its the end of the month and we get alot of cars and they prob didn't take as much time as they should have on the car. Usually with black we put 3 coats of wax but maybe he rushed a little" I was like its got swirl marks and i didn't even get it out of your lot yet.

I was going to bring it back for them to detail but decided to do it myself and it came out nice...now from hearing all these dealer stories who are clueless on how to detail a car i think im never letting them touch it again.

ya get some quotes from local detailers then get the $ and fix it yourself. maybe throw the detailer a $20 for helping out.

same thing happened to me last week - my first oil change. my car was really dirty because it had rained so my plan was to spend the rest of the day detailing it - was actually looking forward to it.

I actually told him NOT to wash it. and THEY DID IT ANYWAY!! it looked like s*it. so, I detailed it and its fine now. still some minor clearcoat scratches I could probably get out next time I do a full detail. If they wash it next time when I tell them not to I'm going to charge them $500 for my labor to fix it!

photo after I was done my 5 hr work attached

DHH- Your car looks amazing in that picture.

To the OP - I would be just as afraid of finding a reputable detailer! It seems side of the road car washes are now claiming to be detailers, you have to be careful. The only thing I can recommend is visiting Autopia.org and finding someone established nearby.

If I was you.. I would find the most best and expensive detailer in your area and have them work on my car, then send the bill to Infiniti.
