Polisher Question
Polisher Question
Whenever I polish the GEE using my Porter Cable polisher, it ends up with white power in everything, all the cracks in the windshield etc. The GEE is OB so it really shows up. How do you avoid that or get rid of it? Am I supposed to wash it again immediately after polishing before I wax?
Well, it's not the G nor the PC that's causing the dusting. It's likely the product you are using. Some dust more than others.
What products are you using? We can likely recommend some that dust less.

aside from some products dusting very readily, most products start to dust up when the product has been fully broken down.
maybe try working the product in a little less or applying a bit less pressure?

Another common reason why people see excessive dusting is that they overuse a pad for polishing. I personally swap out for a new pad roughly 4 times per coat. I hardly ever see any dusting and by switching pads that frequently it ensures you are getting the maximum cut and best possible finish. It also is easier to clean the pads when you are done.
You also could be using too much product as well.

You should invest in a last touch/final inspection spray. It's a little bit different than a detail spray, what they do is remove polishing oils, dust etc, so you can see the final surface after correction.
Menzerna and Meguiars both make a spray like this
