Don't want to jack this thread, but what about the Meguiar's instead of a Porter Cable?

Check there. PC 7424 seems to be a very popular and safe choice for light polishing, sealant and wax application with a random orbital buffer (safer alternative to a rotary buffer), but more powerful machines, like the Flex XC 3401 VRG random orbital buffer, are available, too.

Agreed. Scratch-X is a bit too abrasive for a whole surface polish. It is really meant for minor fixes by hand as BB mentioned.

Thanks. I had already checked there. The Meguiar's is so new, about 6-7 months old, that there are few reviews. All the reviews I have seen say the Meguiar's is easier to use with the top handle and seems to be better balanced than the Porter Cable, but I just wondered if anyone here could add some additional information.
