Which Clear Bra to get?
Which Clear Bra to get?
I've been reading in the forums on a few different brands of clear bra. Is there a specific one you guys recommend? So far there's 3 brands I know of...3M, ClearMask, and VentureShield. Not really sure what's the difference between the 3.
Thanks in advance!

I have been installing for years and ClearShield is not one I wold even consider using. Go with ClearMask or VentureShield. Bekaert (ClearShield) is not even one of the top films in the industry... for a reason.
When I got mine installed I talked to the installer for a while. He's been in business installing these for a long time, does a lot of work on exotics, and he recommended Venture Shield over the others. He also said that 3M recently bought VentureShield and are basically going to be using the same material in the near future (if not already).
I have no way to verify any of this however, so take it with a grain of salt. He seemed like a very reputable person though, and there's a lot of his customers posting on BMW forums.
My personal experience with the VentureShield so far has been excellent though. No discoloration, very clear, easy to clean, and pretty good protection (so far no major scuffs, but it could just be incredible luck in not hitting any rocks/pebbles). Also, the seam is tough to see unless you look at it at a very specific angle.

I've had Llumar and now using the Avery Dennison StoneShield that my installer now prefers. In my opinion, you really can't tell much of a difference between the reputable film manufacturers. They key to a good clearbra is an exceptional installer. This can make or break the job.
Just had my entire front quarter of the car done with Xpel (http://www.xpel.com/); grill, nose, full hood, quarter panels, side mirrors, side support panels and roof just to the front of the sunroof. Total : $1500.00
No chances with rocks on this baby.. You gotta live in Alberta to understand.

mirroring what some of the guys here already said. the bra is a commodity, the installer is the key. I've used these guys and they are regarded as the best in the biz - www.premiermobilegroup.com
I have to admit Sam and Will at Premier are two of the best in the business at wrapping cars. So if you are looking for paying top dollar for a vehicle wrap, those are your guys. But there are many other good kit installers out there that wont cost you an arm and a leg.
