Why would you wax every week? That sounds like you are over doing it. I think if you wax correctly it should last 2 to 3 months.

yes extremely so. honestly i dont know, but i wouldn't imagine that it would hurt, though once a week is overkill. Once a month I think is good, once every 2 weeks is excellent, once a week seems pushing it.

(Wooo, your in Diamond Bar, close to me, I am in San Dimas!)

Depends on the wax used, but a typical Carnuba lasts 4-6 weeks. Waxing your G once a week is overkill.

I don't think it would "hurt" it, but it is overkill and really a waste. As Shane mentioned, If done right a typical carnuba should last 4-6 weeks. In the warmer months, I plan on doing mine once a month.

Greetings,

I love your enthusiasm. After washing and rinsing my car, I spray a little "spray wax" on the wet car and then, dry and polish and the same time. Works great, easy to do and leaves a great shine.

Waxing your vehicle once a week won't "hurt" your car, but since you're applying a product to the paint, you want to make sure the surface is 100% clean otherwise you may add imperfections to it. Protection wise, as others have stated, a good carnauba wax lasts roughly 4 - 6 weeks, so as long as you reapply prior to the protection running out, you'll be fine. You may experience increased depth and gloss by waxing once a week since you'd be creating a layering effect, however you'll reach a point of diminishing returns after a couple of coats.

Many enthusiasts do what Former USMC said and finish your wash with a spray wax. This is usually quicker and gives similar benefits, but usually for shorter lengths of time.
