Car Cover

I found the new infiniti car cover but do you think this is more trouble than its worth. On an older car I found that when it rained it stayed on the cover and almost seemed to keep water on there more than if I hadn't covered it at all. Also when it snows and melts then freezes a little I found it would harden to the cover and the car making it hard to remove without feeling like you are scratching the car. Lastly with dust and everything could it create more scratches and swirl marks? I have an OB car, which is why I'm asking.
