IPL + H.I.D. Foglights, anyone in Canada do this?

Morning folks,

Just wondering if anyone in Canada has done the ipl/aero front bumper swap with fog lights and ended up running HID lights in the fogs. If so, how did you do the wiring with the DRL in the main lights? Were you able to keep the DRL in the headlight and when fogs are turned on only the fog lights in the bumper turn on?

It would be fairly simple to do. You just need to add some wiring for the fogs really, and then rewire the DRL. It can be done right near the headlight, or some of it can be done at the BCM. Depends on how clean you want it to look.

My suggestion is download your manual for your year and make, look over the wire harness and go from there.

Yeah I did this last year, I ran a separate relay with a whole new wire set up this way in not splicing into the drls and I can have them on without blowing any fuses. If you know anything about basic 12v electronics you can do it.
