Price and shipping is the difference... when you buy from an infiniti dealer they order it directly from stillen for you, i dont even think they charge shipping... when you buy from stillen be prepared to pay boarder duty...
Why on earth would you go to an Infiniti dealership to order Stillen parts, or any other aftermarket parts for that matter? First off, they likely won't order anything for you and would probably look at you like you had 3 heads if you asked. And even if they did go for it, you have just introduced an unnecessary middle man into the transaction, and that middle man wants to get paid which means you will end up paying more.
If you want Stillen parts, order from Stillen directly. Or if you want other types of performance parts, most of the vendors on here are your best bet. I would recommend hitting up John @ JEBPerformance.
You wont find stores in Toronto that stock any kind of inventory of aftermarket parts for our cars. The demand just isn't there. They would need to special order pretty much everything and you will never get it as cheap as you would on here, even considering shipping and duties if applicable.

yeah, im not sure what the issue is.. there is m more tuner shops in Richmond Hill than you can shake a stick at... and infiniti imports stillen parts at cost and they dont void the 4 year factory warranty...
you can have a Stillen SC in a 2011 model with everything under factory warranty... including the SC...

i bought my 2012 ipl at markham infiniti 3 days ago. great customer service anyone need anything ask for jinho hes a sale rep. tell him Daren sent you he will hook you up.
Deal with Stillen directly. They can collect all of the taxes, duties before shipping, which speeds up the process and lets you know exactly what the end price is.
The other option is to have your stuff shipped to the UPS store in Buffalo, you just have to make the trek to pick-up your parts when they come in.
The UPS Store #2194 - NIAGARA FALLS, NY

Hey that's a pretty good idea. Thanks to that tip I found a UPS store only 1 hour from my place in Ottawa The UPS Store #2946 - OGDENSBURG, NY where I can hopefully purchase and ship 4 new tires from Performance Plus Tire to this UPS store and only pay $5 per tire (per week). Their website seems to cater to Canadians and has it's own button. I figure purchasing from Custom Tires, Custom Wheels, Tires and Wheels Packages, Parts and Accessories for your Car, Light Truck, and SUV from Performance Plus Tire and getting free shipping within US (only $19.95 handling charge) for 4 Michelin Super Sports to Ogdensburg NY will save me about $570 total from Canadian prices like Costco. I save the $152 in shipping + $30 brokerage + way cheaper cost of tires (Perf. Plus Tire website shows these tires are about $70 cheaper than total Tirerack.com price). And all I have to pony up other than HST is $45 duty and the Provincial tire fee of $23 + gas to get to Ogdensburg and back + $20 for UPS store to hold 4 tires for me.
Just trying to figure out if I can even squeeze the $70 Michelin rebate that comes out every spring - tricky though because I'm a Canadian resident - but will be technically supplying a US UPS store address... not a deal breaker but this would basically pay for my gas to and from Ogdensburg + equivalent duty fees... thereby making the total savings even sweeter.
You mention above that the vendor can collect all duties and taxes etc before hand - so does that mean when you cross back in Canada (driving by car) after picking up the tires - you just show the customs guard a receipt of some sort that taxes, duties etc has been collected?

If you are going to make the drive, just deal with the duties at the border. The last time I made the trip they waived me through with 4 new Falkens (so no duty).
If you were shipping over the border, some shipping services collect all of the fees up front so the items clear customs faster and you don't get dinged with unexpected fees.

Good plan thanks. I guess you had to put the seat down to fit the tires in. No rear passengers allowed on this trip... So if they waived you through customs for no duty at what point did you pay HST? Did you just pay the new york state tax?
