New Member - G37 Brake Squeal in Reverse

Hi Everyone, new guy here in Calgary. I have a 08 G37 Coupe with just over 24000 kms. Since new when braking in reverse there is a horrible, loud brake squeal about 90% of the time. My dealer (Hyatt in Calgary) says it is a problem with the Coupe that Infiniti cannot fix. Has anyone else had this problem? Did your dealer fix it? Any suggestions? I am fed up with it. My dealer gave me a 1-800 number for Infiniti to complain to them directly - great... as if that will help.

Me too -- had it in the rear at first -- After 24K Service it's now in the front -- I called Customer care -- told me to take it back to the dealer to get it fix again -- -- This is really embarrassing- every time I pull into a stop -- people give me this look --
My dealership has done their best to accommodate -- they have provided loaner cars on numerous occasion -- now people at my work thinks that I bought a lemon -- a few months ago, I had my front seat changed under warranty because it was unusually creasing and causing bubble.

I am thinking about taking it to the news -- Just so sick of it -- feels INFINITI is not listening.. I am also thinking of getting rid of the car

I had the same problem and took it into my local delearship and they took care of it no problem. They chalked it up the the pads or at least that's what i remember, to be dry and cleaned it up and lubed it a bit and squeal was gone. Gotta give it to Beshoff Infiniti for taking care of their customers.

Most likely dust in the brake pads. Happens to my fronts all the time. Next service, get them to check the pads and brakes. Should be able to air blow the dust out. I should get my brakes done too. My brother's (G35 coupe) car, had similar problems and he switched to Project Mu pads and no more.

My 08 coupe sport does it in the morning......I then drive down my street and hammer on the brakes at the stop sign. some dust comes out and the squeak is gone. I was told by my dealership that it is an inherent problem with the sport model with the size and type of brakes. My wifes 07 sedan doesn't have any break squeak at all. that being said, my boss's 06 M Roadster squeaks quit a bit - just a product of the brakes they are using.
