First Oil Change - $132

The 6,000 Km oil change was done by Downtown Infiniti for $132. They say they use synthetic oil which is what they do since changing to Downtown Infiniti (formerly Yorkville Infiniti). <O</O
<O</O

I will consider taking the G to Willowdale Infiniti (where I get my FX service) the next time for $40-$50 less. <O</O

damn thats expensive. Is it even Ester oil? If it is only full synthetic oil I think you got jacked. Or wait, is it just normal synthetic

I paid about $54 OTD for my full synthetic. Ester cost about 80-90 here.. including oil filter of course.

$132 CAD is like $17.53 USD. You got a bargain.

Not sure what kind of synthetic they put in. I don't believe in that stuff. Every 6,000 km regular oil change is good enough for me.

Had oil change and safety inspection today at Chantilly Infiniti. No charge. They include first 2 years maintenance with all cars so I didn't expect a charge for it, but was a bit surprised that they did saftey inspection free. I only have 2500 miles so they put in non-ester oil. Said they used ester oil starting at 7500 mile maintenance.

They were very friendly. Walked up and said "doesn't look like this needs a wash" and noted all over the tickets not to wash, inspected the car before taking it away. Great waiting area. Free gourmet coffee.

So since everyone posts up all the problem dealers, I'd thought I would post up a positive experience in Northern Virginia. Not sure what if anything they could have done better.

That is kinda expensive. I use to take my 35 there for service and I remmember they use to charge $90 - $100 back when they were at yorkville, about $20 more than other most other dealership, but it was b cos they had prime retail space, which I understand. But after they had switched location to eastern , I know there prices went up further by about another $10 or so because they just spend over 10 mil for the new dealership site.. Which was still ok.... Now that I have recently changed to the 37 and will be getting first service soon too , I guess will have to try other dealerships ...
Anyone want to share where and how much they pay for their Services in the GTA???

Motul 8100 oil change at West Covina Nissan is $50 OTD ...just tell them you are a forum member. The best thing about them is that you get to watch how they service your vechicle as they are the only shop that is insured to have customers in the service area!

Downtown Infiniti uses Castrol synthetic for the most part. I don't think they even offer Motul 8100. If they did, I would like to see the oil cans!!

My dealer doesn't recommend synthetic nor the Ester unless you have the noisy VVEL lifter issue. If your changing oil at the more conservative 3750 interval there's no need.

Ericksen in Edmonton doesn't recommend any synthetic oil until 20000 km. Heck, they didn't even have the ester oil for the VVEL fix......
