G37 RWD Cash Deal Price?

Hi folks,

I'm new here and I am looking to buy a G37 RWD shortly but I was wondering if some of you can share your negotiation savvy.

Here is my breakdown with the help of Car Cost Canada:

Retail + Freight + AC Tax = $39,815
Wholesale + Freight + AC Tax = $37,302
Non-Stackable Merchandising Dollars/Factory to Dealer Rebate $4,000

Wholesale + Freight + AC Tax = $37,302 - $4,000 Dealer Rebate + $1,119 profit (3% mark-up of $37,302) = $34,421.

Am I foolish to think that they would be willing to bite for a cash deal based on those numbers?

Thanks again.

Dealers don't make any points on a cash sale, so prolly not.

Get a APA membership, $65. They will tell you what a pre-negotiated, guaranteed price is possible. Instead of you guessing or hoping that a dealer is willing to take 3% profit, they will give you an actual price that a dealer is willing to sell at. That price is better than what 90% of people can negotiate on their own. They will do this same service for you on up to 5 different cars within 1 yr (after which, your membership expires). This is great for people in the GTA, but not necessarily in more remote areas/provinces.

Are you comparing a loaded Coupe with a stripped down Sedan?

Also it is now the end of model year. Any car on the lot should be at least 5% less than early in the year.

Actually, I screwed up the numbers. The $4k rebate is only on anything but the base sedan. I want the base sedan. So, it's only a $2.5k rebate for a base but they still want the 5% profit which I think is a little rich considering the economy.

I find it frustrating that they want $1800 and change for selling me a car, a cash deal mind you. That doesn't include their true profit, just the profit that I am allowed to believe they are making. I am 100% certain that they did not really pay $37,302 for this vehicle + freight.

HP_John, APA doesn't cover Infinit's in my location.

I can wait till december if need be, let the games begin.

Hi, you can get a base AWD g37 sedan for $3500 below Edmund's invoice price. Check the internet specials at JBA Infiniti in Ellicot City. They're offering this till the end of August.

Additionally, they're offering $8000 off the MSRP of a g37 coupe w/ premium and nav.

Good luck with your purchase. I will purchase next month, after the last major shipment of G's have crossed the ocean. However, in October, there might be greater incentives - last October there were $4000 in incentives. The downside to waiting is fewer cars to choose from.

From CCC, there are two incentives.

If you pay cash, can you get both incentives, totally $6500?

If you can not, then get $2500 off and 2.9% finance is sure a better deal.

--------------------------------------------------------

Cash Incentives
Merchandising Dollars/Factory to Dealer Rebate $2,500.00 August 31, 2009
Non-Stackable Merchandising Dollars/Factory to Dealer Rebate - excluding Base model (AA00) $4,000.00 August 31, 2009

We are talking Canada correct?

I got the APA quote and see the $4K rebate for cash sale but that's all. I don't see the 2,500 discount at all. If true, I think I need to rethink my offer...

CCC is for canada only.

I am looking for AWD seden with premium package. what are you looking at?

If the cash incentive can not combined with the $2500 rebate, then finance is the way to go.
