2009 White Sedan Premium w/tech (Checking price)
2009 White Sedan Premium w/tech (Checking price)
My wife has an 09 white sedan 130k miles, it’s got the power assisted steering (not four way steer), adjustable columns with presets, nav/Bluetooth, Bose system, non-sport, 7 AT. No mods whatsoever, everything oem except brakes. Newish Perelli tires. We just had another baby about 6 months ago and we are seriously contemplating trading it in for an suv as we really do need more space. How much do you think is a fair private party price?

1) carvana
2) vroom
3) carmax
That should give you a starting point.
All g's have power steering. Not sure what an adjustable column is. Steering column? All have that too, except some are manual, others electric.

She has the assisted steering, I’m not sure exactly what it is called but it’s a steering booster at low speeds and it disengages gradually as the car speeds up (don’t want someone to plow into a wall going 80mph). The steering column yes, it’s power, with the 2 different presets to lock in position of steering wheel and seats to return them to minimum when the car is off, and then back to your ideal position when it turns on. I think the price quoted was close to 7k, though I am pretty sure we could get more than that elsewhere.

I think the used car market has peaked, but you are still getting more for old car than before. I recently ran numbers from the first 2 for our MY 15 accord exl with 30K miles. One of them (can't remember which) came back with $18K. Which is still pretty good. Got 18,5 from carmax last august. Probably would of gotten more earlier this year.
Your biggest headache will be picking out the replacement, finding the colors/options you want, and not getting taken for a ride doing so. It's all relatively I think. My replacement was ~7% under msrp. But that's rare. Stingers are not very common or popular around here. Even so, I had to travel multiple counties away to find a dealer selling below msrp.
You can also look up autotrader to get some ideas for similar age/mileage vehicles/asking prices.

You can absolutely keep existing car and even 2 car seats will fit just fine. The thing about sedan is that because it sits lower compare to SUV it will cause pain to your back when you are strapping a baby in and out.
If I can recommend, a van would be really nice because of sliding doors. It's so convenient when you are trying to drop off at pre/school when they grow up.
It would make sense if you want to upgrade to say with something less mileage so that you want to reduce chances of getting stranded somewhere or end up $ costly repair. Like us, as you get older or car gets older, things and parts are likely to break.
