Should I purchase a warranty for a 2012 G37xs

Hi there,

Yesterday I purchased a 2012 G37xs and the finance manager was realllly pushing me to get a Used Car Warranty. Basically at the end of the conversation it was to the point where he was saying- "hey man, I'm not even trying to sell you this at this point I'm just trying to help you out and I think its a really good idea you purchase this". Initially, I had to decide then and there if I wanted a warranty, but now I have till tomorrow morning to decide.

I took the car in for a PPI before purchase and the mechanic said it was in great shape other than the car needing the brakes replaced and the rotors to be resurfaced.

I've been meticulously researching these cars and from what I recall most people recommend against a warranty so kind of leaning against it. I also have an emergency savings fund for things like this, so I'm kind of just leaning against getting a used car warranty but wanted to get second opinions. I believe it was going to cost $50-$60/mo. I have to review paperwork, but the finance manager made it sound like the warranty would basically cover anything that isn't routine maintenance. For example, I noticed after purchase that the cup holder lid does not close (not a big deal), and how the scope of the warranty was described to me it sounds like this would maybe be covered, which could be nice.

Thanks!

Skip it and put the $60/month in your savings account
Is this warranty from Infiniti or a third party?
Third party warranties are a huge scam

It's a third party, but any issues I would take it to an Infiniti Dealership. Can't remember the name of the company, but yea I'm gonna skip it.

Save yourself the headache. It's usually a pretty painful process getting a third party warranty company to cover certain issues even though they say that they cover it.

Its a third party, Fidelity Warranty Services which I've actually read decent things about. But ya, I think I'm better off just saving that money for any issues if they even come up
