Question G37 Lease ending April '15

Guys,

My lease ends on 04/03/15. Driving the G has been a great experience. Some info on my current lease:

No money down, $400/month
Options: premium, nav, interior accent pkg, illum. kickplates
Contracted miles: 24,011 (currently at 14,500)
Residual value: $30,695.00

I wouldn't mind leasing again. The Q50 looks good but seems like it will have a major revision done by 2016. I guess this doesn't matter much since I'm leasing.

For those who moved from the G to the Q50.....how has your experience been so far?

Any tips/feedback would be much appreciated!

Zero down, $400??? What voodoo black magic went on there? I pay $409 with $1200 down for less car and family worked the deal. Infinity drop their pants and give them away one month?

I agree with nolimit, cant see how you pulled that off ($400 payment) without at least a trade in?
As for the Q vs G, another enthusiast that I work with has had the Q for months now and states he misses the G. The Q is more refined especially with trans. shift points early downshifts (automatic) etc. I haven't rode in it, but might re-consider. Would need to give the Q a thorough test drive first.

His residual value could be the reason it's so low. That;s a high residual. What year is the car?

The steer by wire in the Q50 has been universally disliked by every automotive press review i've read or seen on TV.

Thanks for the info. Oops, my payment is actually $413/month (tax included). No trade in or money down. It could have been $360/month without nav and interior accent.
I don't even use the nav now...ha

I will have to test drive the Q. I guess I still have some time to figure out what to do.

Yep, I realize it's a high residual but I'm not planning on keeping it. The car is a 2013.

Yes, Infiniti did drop their pants!!!: My 2013 G37xS Coupe MSRP $50,000. Monthly payment $439 no cash down. and in my state (MD)you have to pay taxes for the whole purchase. If I was leaving in PA (and other states) the whole deal would have been $411

I was right out of college so I don't think my score was that great.

I've seen other people get similar and even slicker deals on this site.

On the IFS account website, I noticed there's a "Confirm End of Lease Intention" link to click on. Have y'all ever used that?

Also, I was going over the car's condition and noticed the following:

- scratched kick plate (driver side) - I'm assuming this is considered normal wear and tear
- A few scratches on gear shifter (metal part).....probably caused by my Class ring. Normal wear and tear?
- 1-2 paint chips on hood...caused by small rocks probably
- several shallow scratches on roof...looks like a cat was chilling on it
- two shallow scratches passenger side mirror....not sure what caused them.
- some scratches on front bumper

Of the damage listed above, which would you be worried about? Is it worth getting the car detailed before the inspection?
Infiniti gives you $500 to cover damages if you lease again, correct?

Still figuring what to do....either lease a Q50 or purchase a used G37 for way less than my residual.

Thanks for your feedback.

I love my Q50 than my old G37 coupe. Steer by wire is only in people's head. Once you have driven and own the car, you will like it more and more everyday.

There is 2500 in lease loyalty and 2500 in lease cash plus like 3000-3500 off MSRP. IDK where you live but if you are in the Nebraska/Iowa/SD/Kansas/North West Missouri Area, PM.

Nice rig! Thx for sharing. I actually had a Q50 loaner for a day and the car really grew on me.

I'm in Houston. Do you know if these loyalty/lease discounts are nationwide?
Thanks!
