Now that Infiniti has renamed the "G" to the "Q", the G drops in value.

I live in Vancouver Canada and for a 2008 g37s with about 75000 kms they are going for about $22000 stock. Im in the market for one now and if i saw one like yours already done up i would have taken it. It all depends on who wants it, some people dont care about the aftermarket parts and another guy like me would be happy its already done for him.

Another issue with our cars is that insurance costs are relatively high compared to other Japanese models. While our cars are just as reliable as other Japanese makes, this insurance hurdle means that the G will rarely be considered as a good used car for a teen just starting out (huge resale market). Toyota/Honda are much more insurance friendly due to their standardized and somewhat unassuming approach.

I also agree with the others in that mods are frowned upon in the resale market, except for the minority buyer who will pay more for that feature (similar to buying a house with a swimming pool).

Best bet is to make your car look and feel as unmolested and pampered as possible. The good news is that people sell their aftermarket parts all day on the board for close to what those parts cost new, so supply and demand is in your favor (but yes, it's a hassle to remove everything).

Good luck.

Hey guys i didnt want to start a new thread about this as most dont get any replies but i thought id try my luck here. Im in Vancouver, Canada and in the market for a 2008 G37S Coupe automatic white with black interior. Theres a bunch locally but some have too many kms or have biege interior etc.

The one im looking at right now fits my specs but only other thing that is more of a bonus but it doesnt have is a nagivation. It has 89430kms on there, is local and has no accidents. It is being sold by my a local Nissan/Infiniti dealership and is certified pre-owned. It is going for $22000. I am currently selling my 07 g35 coupe and am hoping to get $15k for it privately. If i can get around $13 for it as a trade in i will do the deal with these guys. What do you guys think i should offer them for the car? I was thinking $18k? What is your guys opinion on this?
